Byte of Finance exists to help readers understand financial news: what happened, why it happened, and what may come next. This page explains the standards we hold ourselves to.

Accuracy

We research every story using publicly available information, including official statements from central banks, governments, regulators and companies, published economic data, and market prices. We aim to verify key facts across multiple independent reports before publishing, and we clearly separate factual reporting from analysis and context.

Originality

Every article on this site is written in our own words. We do not copy or republish other outlets’ work.

Independence

Our coverage is not influenced by advertisers or any outside party. We do not accept payment for favourable coverage of any company, product or asset. Byte of Finance and its contributors do not write about assets with the aim of moving their price.

Not investment advice

We report and explain; we do not recommend. No article should be read as personal financial advice, as set out in our Disclaimer.

Corrections

When we get something wrong, we fix it. Significant factual errors are corrected in the article as soon as they are identified. If you spot an error, please tell us via our Contact page — we take every report seriously.
